VETERAN & TROOP SUPPORT
As the nation's largest organization of combat veterans, we're dedicated to providing our troops and their families with the support they need during all phases of deployment. Our members understand first-hand the burdens of deployment, and that's why we have troop support programs ready to assist.

We're here supporting our troops day in and day out. Our members offer support to the military community in many different ways, whether that means helping military families get through long deployments or hosting send-off and welcome home events. The VFW knows how important troop support is because all of our members have been there.

The VFW offers a wide range of assistance programs aimed at helping veterans of every generation. Whether that means providing free, professional help filing or appealing a VA claim, offering scholarships for post-secondary education or providing emergency financial relief when times get tough, the VFW is there for America's veterans.

We understand the challenges veterans, service members and military families can face and believe that experiencing financial difficulties should not be one of them. That's the premise behind the VFW's Unmet Needs program.

Unmet Needs is there to help America's military families who have run into unexpected financial difficulties as a result of deployment or other military-related activity or injury. The program provides financial aid grants of up to $750 to assist with basic life needs in the form of a grant - not a loan - so no repayment is required. To further ease the burden, we pay the creditor directly.

The needs of our veterans, service members and their families should never go unmet. Let us offer you a hand up when you need it!

For additional information, and to see if you or someone you know qualifies for a grant through the Unmet Needs program, please review the Unmet Needs eligibility criteria.

If you are seeking assistance, please print and fill out the Unmet Needs Application and contact our Service Officer.
